Players Registration

HOW TO REGISTER AS A NEW PLAYER

All junior / youth players at Griffithstown are registered with the Football Association of Wales (FAW).
on the FAW's COMET registration system.

This registration is done each season and players can not play any organised football until their registration has been confirmed by FAW.

The registration also combines a personal insurance for each player that covers them whilst taking part in any official training sessions or games, played under the Torfaen League or Gwent County FA sanction.

IF YOU ARE AN EXISTING PLAYER YOUR REGISTRATION WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY RECORDED FOR THE NEW SEASON...….  THERE IS NO NEED FOR YOU TO COMPLETE THIS FORM AGAIN.

If you are a "New Player " and you intend to play for Griffithstown AFC and officially register yourself as a player, your team manager or coach will ask you or your parents to complete a "COMET form".

The manager/coach will give you a web link that will allow you to log into our website and have access to the registration form.

This form will open on your computer, laptop, iPad or smart phones.

Please complete this form in full and attach a passport type (Head and Shoulders) photo of the player (a good quality in focus selfie will be acceptable, try to have an uncluttered background).

Having completed the form in full hit the submit button.

By submitting this form it will be forwarded to the CLUB COMET OFFICER, who will use and upload the information to register the player on the FAW COMET system.

You will then receive a registration form attached to an email sent from FAW COMET, this needs to be checked and be confirmed as correct. Once this has been done sign and date the form and return it to the CLUB COMET OFFICER...….. NOT to the FAW COMET email address it originated from.

The form once signed will be resubmitted on the system and the player will be CONFIRMED as a Griffithstown Player. FAW will then forwarded a Player's FAW ID Card and the Player Insurance documents.

You will need to inform your Team Manager when the ID Card is in your possession. The player is then allowed to play in all organised games for the club.

I hope this has made some sense to you, if you have any questions please contact me.
